Physico - chemical Properties of the Greenhouse Soil Related to Physiological Disorder of Tulip

Abstract
The physico-chemical properties of tulip-cultivating greenhouse soils and properties of the soil which occured physiological disorder of tulip were investigated. The content of organic matter and Ca, Mg, Na in the soils of Cheju area was much higher than those of other areas. The content of Ca and Mg in disordered plant growing soils were similar to those of other soils, but pH, K and degree of base saturation (DBS) were different from the normal plant growing soils. Tulip plants with physiological disorder showed abnormal characteristics in height, leaf, peduncle, and petal growth. The growth disorder appeared to be a stem topple caused by temperature, humidity and inhibition of Ca absorption in the greenhouse conditions.
